In some situations, there’s only so much an aerial view could tell you.[break][break]

Angelo had flown over the corn fields in question multiple times by the time the league had contacted him but it didn’t matter how many times he circled the sea of gold, answers wouldn’t be found beneath the shadow of his mechanical bird. If he wanted to learn its secrets, he'd have to dive into their depths.[break][break]

Besides, surely the nyooooming noise the Cessna generated was enough to startle whatever creature was causing the trouble in the first place. It certainly scattered the lurking Unfezant from their hiding places when he flew by, anyway. [break][break]

Taking the aerial route had given Angelo the ability to take photographs of the scene, however. It would provide the pilot and his soon-to-arrive mission partner a full scope of what freaky shit they were dealing with… [break][break]

Casually leaning against his plane, now grounded and silent close to the corn field, Angelo thumbs through the images he’d captured on his phone while he waits. Clyde peeks out of his pocket, only his head visible as the Dreepy soaks up the warmth of the warm, Hoennian autumn day. [break][break]

Blue eyes scarcely look up when his assigned partner appears, a hand raising to beckon them closer. “Hey. Come look at this.”

unfortunately for gabriel, business was a constant tax on his attention. he hated being late; despised it. so much so, in-fact, that he was convinced that one of the markers of being a man worthy of anyone's time, was to actually be on time. so, showing up later than he'd planned, has the man playing catch up much to his annoyance. and, while not used to being the one ordered around, he approaches nevertheless.

"what am i looking at?" his assigned partner, a man he recognized based off the league reports he'd been reading, was deeply invested in his phone. photos of some kind, aerial, from the looks of it. interesting. the pyroars behind him regard the dreepy with a clear lack of interest, yawning beneath the very same warm sun.

Accompanying the new voice comes with it a looming shadow, partially obscuring the pictures on his phone in which he had been curiously studying. Blue eyes casually flicker up but Angelo makes no attempt to move out of the imposing silhouette of the man built like a brick fucking house. [break][break]

Even if Angelo had known that GABRIEL BLACK was a councilman, he’d have acted no different. [break][break]

“Took these from the air just now,” with a finger he points to the old and sturdy devise, screen small and cracked in the corner like a thin vein. “The farmers think a pokemon’s running wild in there, ruining their crops. You know, the usual theories. But these paths look way too… neat for that, don’t ya think?” [break][break]

Straight, wave like patterns stretch up and down the fields of gold – Greek key – that are too organised for an alleged, out-of-control pokemon. [break][break]

“Think it calls for a closer look.” The slight curve to the pilot’s lips don’t hold as much mysterious weight as the pictures he scrolls through. It’s evident that the bizarreness beckons Angelo’s adventurous intrigue.

"impressive." not many would have scouted the terrain before-hand. perhaps he'd grown bored waiting for gabriel? he gives the man more credit than that, of course. "i would agree. i doubt any creature could make this without a meticulous plan." it was just a guess of course, but one he felt held merit.

his excitement would be infectious on others, but gabriel's learned over the decades to temper his expectations. he doesn't sour the mood, however. "very well. i suggest you take lead on the mission. i'm in your hands, mr. vestri." time to see how the rumors held up.
